2026 Performance Information for La Zooz Students
This page is for parents of La Zooz students to have all the information pertinent to the performance, all in one place.
Dress Rehearsal Information

Dress Rehearsal is Sunday June 7th, 2026 at Blake High School. Address is 300 Norwood Road. Silver Spring 20905

Girls should arrive at the theater with their hair done, make-up done (if using) and dressed in costume. If in multiple pieces, they should go by the order on the schedule attached to this email.

Each class is in a "block" of classes that are called at the same time and released at the same time. Please follow the block schedule and timing to be sure your daughter is present when her group goes on stage

It is drop off only; Unless you are a parent volunteer or your child is in the Tumble and Twirl classes, you may not stay to watch.

Siblings may not stay and wait for their other siblings, we simply do not have enough manpower to properly supervise kids outside of the block they are assigned to. Please arrange for them to leave with a friend in the same class.

Your daughter should have all the necessary elements for dress rehearsal as if its the performance-- this includes, the correct shoes, shells, tights, skirts, leggings, headpieces, etc. If your unsure as to what they need, please refer to the spreadsheet labeled "Costume Needs" on Page 3.

There is absolutely no food or drinks (besides water) in the theater. If your daughter is there for a long time, she can bring a snack to eat in the lobby while she waits for her piece. Please make sure she brings a cover-up or sweatshirt to put on top of her costume while she eats so she does not get her costume dirty.
Costumes
Please take note of what your daughter will need for the performance this year and make sure she has it all in time for dress rehearsal! Please be in touch with any questions
Notes about specific accessories:

Shells are tight-fitting, crew-neck shirts, and should be three-quarter sleeve below the elbow.

Black skirts should be A-line with no pleats or designs, knee length

Acro classes should wear footless tights or leggings and be barefoot (please send with shoes to protect their feet at the theater.

Tights for Tumble and Twirl classes can be pink or white.

If it lists something as “optional”, that is the parent’s choice whether or not they wish to have their child wear an additional layer, based on their comfort level because of the opacity of the skirt they are wearing as a costume.
